Gosh. It sure felt strange donning the green army uniform, SBO and field pack after 2 years of university.
It felt like... Cos-play! haha... When Lilin called in e morning, I was teasing her with lines like "ooh, are u calling to mobilise me??"
Realised that she's into sailors. hahahaha
Anyway, it was great meeting up with old army buddies... And I am always fascinated by my men. They lead really fascinating lives. One has a girlfriend who is 16 years older than him and has 2 kids (apparently, hes not really into her but 'owes' her too much), one is a lion-tamer at Night Safari, one catches snakes in houses, one is a DHL delivery man who just got married and the list goes on and on.
In comparison, we the uni-grads, are so boring.
Sunday 5 March: Dota-whacked!
Just when you thought that my Dota skills couldn't possibly get any worse, it did.
I was killed like 20 times in 30 minutes. Even Alex's girlfriend killed me thrice.
Think I should just stick to Football Manager. Monday 6 March: $100 + Certificate = Happy
The showcase and prize presentation for the Dual-TWC Competition was today. Forced to mingle with some professors and guests for an hour before we can receive our certificates and cash rewards.
Was particularly impressed with this guy called Sam, who owns the NYDC restaurant chain. He made many insightful comments about our project and got us to see it from a much different perspective.
Guess that's what makes entrepreneurs special. Even their comments have the 'wow' factor.
Thursday 9 March: Im getting old...
Marketing Presentation! We were promoting this Colgate Precision toothbrush which was launched in 1992.
I like this print advertisement which we did. Some friends thought that i was 'smoking' my way through when I said it but Star Wars was really the biggest thing in 1992. As they had just launched its trilogy video tapes, using Yoda to endorse the toothbrush will enhance the image of the product and attract consumers' attention to it right?
Sigh. I just realise I will be in my late 20s in about 2 years time... =(
