Apparently only the guys ( dawne, john + me) enjoyed Resident Evil: Apocalypse... Neltje and Kelda were like breathing down my neck after the show for my 'brilliant' movie recommendation..
It wasn't THAT bad la was it??
haha.. But let's face it, nobody watches movies like Resident Evil for Oscar-worthy storylines or acting rite??
You watch it for the erhmm...
hahaha... But in the defence of the movie, it has such a lame storyline that its strangely funny and entertaining. Lots of super cliches such as "We've got to stick together" (but somehow they get seperated in e end..) and scenerios such as the characters seeking refuge in a cementry from the zombies (like damn brilliant la)... and there's the comic relief black man who creatively worked the 'F'-word into EVERY single one of his lines... and the monster who looks like a cheap imitation of the Predator crossed with the Wookie from Star Wars...
And of cos, like all good movies, Milla Jovovich has the obligatory scenes in the flimsy paper hospital gown and other naked or near-naked shots in the lab. ( Well, these scientists may be nerds, but they sure ain't dummies. Any chance they have to get Milla undressed - they use it. tsk tsk.. slyyy!.)
And somebody in Hollywood must have had this brilliant idea lah -- if one tough chick in skimpy clothes made the first movie a reasonable hit, then two tough chicks in skimpy clothes should make the sequal a blockbuster. And wham, another hot babe with absurd proportion (ie. distracting pair of boobs with teeny-weeny waistline) is brought in, put in a miniskirt and tube top, given a gun, and told to go for it....
What's not to like??? hahaha...
