One of my friends actually felt sorry enough to send me this picture...
Haha. Thanks man. Thought it was quite funny.
Anyway, last couple of days have been pretty occupied doing stuff. Had an post-lasik eye checkup at 10am which I so nearly overslept if not for my mom.....
8.55am:
*phone rings*
First thought was #$%)!! - Why, oh, why is my phone ringing at 8 freakin 45 in the morning??! Arghhh..
"Helloo?", I said.
"Eh". Its my mom. "Are you STILL in bed?"
"No. I'm not." I always say Im awake when I'm asleep. Don't know why. ( everybody does that right? haha. Not just me right?? *silence*.. hmmm haha)
"You know you have an eye checkup today at 10?"
"Yesss mother. I know. Im awake.."
Eyes... heavy. Mouth.. can't open.... haha.
Was about 10 mins late but it was okay since it wasn't crowded.. The irritating bit after the lasik surgery is that I need to go back for monthly checkups which involves the doctor checking my eyesight for like 10 mins and me ending up paying $40 each time round... *fumes fumes fumes*
That's like blatant daylight robbery can??!
But speaking of exhorbitant prices, the winner of winners has to be my car's airbags. Okay, understandably, airbags save lives. But do you know that one bloody small airbag cost $1000+ each??!!! And your hero here burst 3 airbags on that fateful night 2 wks ago... champion.
And I got a call from Renault workshop today. Repairwork has started and it will take awhile because they are importing the doors and airbags from Germany...
*Looks in Advanced Disbelief*
GERMANY??!! Why Germany?? haha.. Im starting to have this weird premonition that they are turning my French automobile into some German tank or something.... bleah.
Okay, why do I keep ranting about cars these days?? Ah fuck. Well, lets move on to the "Let's Go Buy A Kettle In Orchard" outing which left me with an ouch-Christ-my-back-is-killing-my-curved-spine slump.
Neltje (nel) was bored and asked me if I wanted to go shopping for kettles in town for her hall and I said yes since i was free and I was having orientation dinner at Heeren later on..so ya.. Herlini was with Nel at that time and somehow we bumped into Kelda and eventually it became 4 ppl hunting for a kettle...
N c'mmon, how difficult can buying a kettle be right???
It cld have been so simple... If not for WOMEn!!!
Singapore women nowadays aren't just high maintenance leh, they are UN-AFFORDABLE!!!
haha.. lets start with Neltje Fu first.. I've been to her house once and when I peered into her storeroom, I gasped. As in really gasp.
Nel has like the largest collection of sandals/flip-flops/slippers/heels in the whole of South-East Asia. Reeally!! haha.. I think if she wants, she can actually go to school wearing a different pair of footwear for a WHOLE semester.
Next up, Kelda Chan Sze-Mun!!! haha..Do you know, when you put Nel AND Kel together, somehow their voices become car-alarm whines and they talk in excalamation marks? haha, okay okay, that's abit off-topic, so erhmm back to the main topic, Kel is quite shopaholic as well .. V.determined i must add.. haha... I think I nearly died of gastric pains when me and her went shopping for her birthday present afew months back... She was considering some FCUK top for a long while, cldn't decide if she wants it or not, thus decide go walk around first, 1hr later went back FCUk, thinks for a loooong while, looks at other tops, goes back to original top, decides to try it on, thinks again for another loooong while, then decides that she doesnt want it... =) .. (Take a knife. Plunge into heart.(mine) Twist.)
Finally we have Herlini!!! Hmmm, I actually only got to know her today so ya, can't really tell. BUT judging from her heroics at Espirit where I think she thoroughly browsed through EVERY single piece of clothing in the store, she must be quite a formidable shopper as well... haha
So in short, to these 3 extra-ordinary ladies....*thumps chest* RESPECTTT!!!!!!
( But let me lie down and rest my back first can... =) )
