Today marks the first day of my second military stint in Taiwan. And it cld not have gotten off to a worse start. Flight was delayed for 4 hrs due to turbulent weather. Apparently a typhoon had hit taiwan but we did not know the extent of the damage.

However, upon arrival at C.K.S airport, we were told that the typhoon had hit he region surrounding our camp and electricity is down.

Fuck.

'Don't they have generators?' I asked.
'What generators?'

Fucked.

Anyway, the hour ride from the airport from the airport to the camp was an eye-opener as we saw the devastating effect of the typhoon. Fallen trees blocked half of the expressway and many homes were shattered. Honestly, this place resembled East Timor and we were actually here on a peacekeeping mission.

Cant believe this place has no electricity at all. Dinner was served in complete darkness.. I lost my appetite. I cldnt even be bothered to go search for the bathroom to take a shower... . Hopefully there will be light tom... ( p.s: they shd rename this trip Survivor: Taiwan )
